How do I sign a Certificate Signing Request in cPanel?

If you want to purchase a secure certificate, or just sign one for yourself, you will need to sign a "Certificate Signing Request" (also known as a CSR) in WHM before you continue.

Todo so, follow these steps:

  • Login to the WHM interface with your root or reseller account.
  • Scroll down to the TLS/SSL section, and click on "Generate a SSL Certificate and Signing Request " - which is the first link.
  • Complete the form, with your details, and click on the create button.
  • You will now be presented with the RSA & CSR. This information will also be amailed to the first email address specified.
  • And that's it, you're done! This information will be required when you install or purchase a SSL Certificate
