Help, I get an error about the secure certificate when accessing WHM, cPanel or Webmail

This is not an error. The reason you get this message, is due to the fact that we use a shared SSL Certificate for the cPanel, Webmail and WHM.

This is just to ensure your connection to either of these are safe & secure.

Please note, this will not affect your website, and your clients won't see this. Only you will see this. Each browser displays the warning differently, some don't even show it. In Internet Explorer 7, you need to click on the big red arrow, saying "Continue to this website (not recommended)" Basically your web browser sees that the secure certificate doesn't belong to the domain that you're trying to use.

How do I get around this error, permanently?

  • If you purchase & install your own Secure Certificate, this error won't appear anymore.
  • Access cPanel, webmail and WHM as follows: {yourdomain}/cpanel or {yourdomain}/webmail or {yourdomain/whm}
