How do I transfer my hosting from my existing Provider to WebHostingZone?

To transfer your hosting account from your existing Provider to WebHostingZone, we suggest the following steps:

1. Sign-up for a new account
Choose the package that you want, then on the order form, choose the option to "Transfer my existing domain", complete the order form, and pay for the hosting.

2. Transfer your website content to WebHostingZone
(a) Once you receive a Welcome Letter via email confirming the setup of your account, upload your Web site files, to your new WebHostingZoneaccount by following the instructions detailed in the Welcome Letter (ftp to your WebHostingZone domain account if you haven't transfered your domain to us yet).

(b) Ensure that your home page/default document has the proper file name
It should be named index.htm / index.html / index.php / default.htm and should be located in the public_html / www folder on the WebHostingZone server.

3. WebHostingZone normally faciltates your domain transfer!
Or when you are satisfied with how you have set up your new site, contact your domain name registrar to have them point your domain to the WebHostingZone domain name servers:

ns1.securehosting.co.za
ns2.securehosting.co.za
ns3.securehosting.co.za
ns4.securehosting.co.za

NOTE: Most registrars have a Web interface that allows you to do this online. Otherwise you can call their customer service or support department for assistance.

4. Cancel your old hosting account
Usually it takes 48-72 hours for your domain name changes to fully propagate. Once your domain has fully propagated requests for your site should take your visitors to your new site hosted by WebHostingZone. You may now safely cancel your account with your previous hosting Provider.
