How can I secure my VPS?

If you own, or run a Virtual Private Server, or Dedicated server on the internet, then you need to take security very serious. Script Kiddies and crackers will probably try and hack into your server, and could steal / delete / corrupt data.

Even if you think you don't have anything valuable on the server, your server could become a spam relay. Or even worse, a warez file server.

We've outlined a few steps to take to make you VPS more secure.

Please note: This is not a full security guide, but merely guidelines. You should investigate security further, and also keep an eye on your VPS.

We can't be held responsible for any loss, or security breaches.
