It is very important not to let your domain expire, if you need to use on an ongoing basis.
- You will be sent an "upcoming domain renewal notice", 20 days prior to it's renewal date. At this stage, you can either remember to pay the domain when it invoice is due 20 days later, or renew it right away.
To renew your domain right away, login to our billing portal on https://billing.webhostingzone.co.za then click on "Domains" > "Renew Domains" and tick the box next to the domain(s) you want to renew. Then click on "Order Now" and follow the process to pay the invoice that'e being generated. - You will be sent an invoice for your domain renewal, 10 days prior to the domain's expiry date. Pay this invoice as soon as possible in order to renew the domain
- If your domain isn't renewed within 10 days, the domain will expire.
- Your domain will remain expired for 20 days, if it's not renewed on time and nothing related to your domain will work anymore. i.e. your website and emails will stop working
- Once the 20 day expiry has passed, and the invoice hasn't been paid, the domain goes into "Closed Redemption" for 20 days, after which it will be deleted and anyone else can register it.
- A "Closed Redemption Fee" of R250 is applicable once your domain goes into redemption.
It is better to renew your domain ASAP!
